Attorney Profile : John L. Pool

John L. Pool is proud to be a veteran of the United States Army and the Texas Army National Guard. Mr. Pool began his legal career in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1995 working for the University of Tulsa Legal Clinic focusing on elder law issues. He went on to clerk for federal magistrate John Wagner evaluating complex legal issues pending in federal court before joining the Tulsa County Public Defender's office.

After representing hundred's of clients in the Tulsa County Public Defender's office he opened a private practice in Andrews, Texas. Mr. Pool represented several business clients in oil and gas related issues as well as handling family law, real estate, probate, criminal law, and personal injury claims.

In January 2001 he was elected as the County and District Attorney for Andrews County, Texas. As the county attorney he represented the county in a variety of legal matters for over 11 years involving contract disputes, employment issues, and litigation in state and federal court. As the district attorney he successfully prosecuted cases ranging from driving while intoxicated to murder. He also has experience in appellate issues involving both civil and criminal matters having successfully argued cases at the appellate level. Mr. Pool has been a successful litigator for over 19 years.
